Innovative Thinking powered by i²c

The Informatics Innovation Center is an initiative of the Faculty of Informatics implementing innovation as the 3rd pillar next to research and education. In this context the Faculty aims to place itself strategically as an open “Web of Excellence”.BLITAB Project was supported by Informatics Innovation Center enabling the award-winning team to broaden their network, meet Business Angels and experts in all areas needed for the successful start-up.

The i²c engages in strengthening the cooperation with industry and in providing a valuable supplementary curriculum on innovation. This curriculum, taught at the Faculty of Informatics, is offered to (selected) students in parallel to the bachelor and master study programs at the University of Technology Vienna.

TU Vienna’s Faculty of Informatics has a strong international position and finds itself amongst well-known, top 10 ranked European universities. The i²c leverages this strong position by fostering innovative thinking in order to provide top quality alumni to research and industry. These alumni are ideally positioned to become leaders of innovation: Either as entrepreneurs setting up their own startups or driving innovation in existing organisations.
