BLITAB one of Top 12 Social Enterprises In Asia

The Social Venture Challenge Asia is in its third year and is shortlisting the region’s top social enterprises (SEs). These purpose-driven companies, which carry out a social mission while earning a profit, are competing for the chance to win total prize money of $170,000 in seed funding. From over 1000 entries, 120 were chosen, and now, the judge picked the Top 12.

The DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia is an Asia-wide competition for social enterprises, open to any member of the public. Organised by NUS Enterprise in partnership with the DBS Foundation, the Challenge aims to identify and support new social ventures that have the potential to generate positive, scalable and sustainable social impact.

Spanning over 5 months, the Challenge aims to raise awareness of social entrepreneurship and build a robust community of social entrepreneurs and capacity builders across Asia. The Challenge also provides multi-dimensional support for budding social entrepreneurs and builds capacity through public education in social entrepreneurship. Through workshops across Asia, participants will be supported and mentored by some of the most experienced practitioners in this field. Furthermore, participants who qualify will also have the opportunity to travel to Singapore for mentoring & coaching with experts, before facing the semifinal and final rounds of judging. The Challenge will culminate with a prestigious awards ceremony.
